Leland Public School

World Learning Club

Neighborhood values, world class education

The World Learning Club is a Leland Public School-endorsed club formed in 2023 to help organize support and fundraising for extended learning opportunities for Leland students grades K-12.  The club seeks to provide experiences in and out of the classroom, across the county, state, country and world to enrich the lives of Leland Public School students, staff, and community.

Today’s world is one of increasingly complex interdependencies. The WLC exists to provide students with opportunities for direct cross-cultural experience. The purpose is to help students strengthen transnational relationships while helping them develop the skills necessary to be successful in an ever changing world. The health of our planet and each individual depends on the skills of today’s students - their ability to work together and their willingness to learn from one another.

The WLC pursues, designs, and supports world-based educational initiatives for Leland students K-12 to increase personal development and world stewardship. We seek partners in this vital work.
